Functional vs. Conventional
We don't replace conventional medicine — we partner with it. Conventional medicine excels at emergencies and acute disease. Functional medicine excels at the chronic, complex, and "nobody can figure this out" cases.
Comprehensive sex hormone panel, full thyroid (not just TSH), adrenal/cortisol rhythm, fasting insulin and A1c, advanced lipids and cardiometabolic markers, inflammatory markers, full vitamin and mineral status, gut and food sensitivity testing, and genetic profiling when appropriate. We read the story your body is telling — not just the handful of markers a 10-minute appointment allows for.
Hormone imbalance, perimenopause and menopause, low testosterone, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal fatigue, chronic fatigue, stubborn weight gain, insulin resistance, autoimmunity, gut issues and food sensitivities, sleep dysfunction, anxiety and mood changes, infertility, joint pain, hair loss, and the catch-all "I just don't feel right anymore."
Root-cause medicine works best when paired with therapies that actually help the body heal. We integrate bio-identical hormone pellets, peptide therapy, hyperbaric oxygen (HBOT), IV nutrient and NAD+ therapy, PRF and platelet-rich regenerative treatments, hair regeneration, and GLP-1 metabolic protocols — chosen for your biology, not a menu. These are the tools conventional medicine rarely offers, and they are often the difference between "managing" and truly getting your life back.
We are a small, intentionally personal practice. Long appointments, direct access to Dr. Tammy, real continuity of care. This is the kind of medicine that is impossible inside the 7-minute insurance visit — which is exactly why we don't operate that way.
FAQ
Yes — Dr. Tammy Tucker practices at Healing Art Centers, 213 West Monroe Avenue, Suite P, Lowell, AR 72745, off I-49. That's about 10 minutes from Rogers, 15 from Bentonville and Springdale, and 25 from Fayetteville. Call or text 479-715-3928.
Functional medicine is a systems-based approach that asks why a symptom is happening, not just how to suppress it. We look at hormones, gut, inflammation, metabolism, nutrients, sleep, stress, and genetics together — then build a plan that treats the root cause.
Conventional medicine is excellent for acute care and disease management. Functional medicine is best for chronic, complex, or 'everything is normal but I feel terrible' problems — fatigue, hormone imbalance, gut issues, autoimmunity, weight gain, brain fog.
A new-patient consultation with Dr. Tammy is $287 and lasts a full hour. Comprehensive labs are quoted separately based on the panel you need.
We are a concierge functional medicine practice and do not bill insurance. This lets us spend the time, run the labs, and design the personalized plan that insurance-based care simply cannot accommodate. Superbills and FSA/HSA use are available.
