Men's Health

Erectile dysfunction.

ED is not a character flaw or an inevitable part of getting older — it is a signal. Most of the time it reflects blood flow, hormones, blood sugar, medications or sleep, and it is often the earliest warning sign of cardiovascular disease. That makes it worth a real work-up, not a discreet online pill subscription.

What's actually driving it

Endothelial and vascular disease, low testosterone or high estradiol, insulin resistance and pre-diabetes, high blood pressure and the medications used to treat it, SSRIs, sleep apnea, thyroid disease, high prolactin, pelvic floor issues, alcohol, nicotine, chronic stress and relationship strain. Usually more than one at once.

The work-up we run

Total and free testosterone, SHBG, sensitive estradiol, LH, FSH, prolactin, full thyroid, fasting insulin and A1C, lipids with ApoB, hs-CRP, homocysteine, vitamin D, ferritin, CBC, PSA — plus a medication review and sleep apnea screening. If the vascular picture is concerning, we say so, because ED can precede a cardiac event by years.

Treatments we offer

Testosterone therapy when labs and symptoms warrant it (with HCG when fertility matters), acoustic shockwave therapy to encourage new blood vessel growth, PRP/PRF injections, peptides, prescription medications when appropriate, and serious metabolic work — GLP-1 therapy, insulin sensitivity, blood pressure and lipids. Shockwave and regenerative options aim at the underlying blood flow rather than a one-night workaround.

Where hormones fit

Testosterone alone does not fix every case, and it is not a substitute for vascular treatment. But low T reliably lowers desire, morning erections, energy, mood and recovery — and when it is corrected properly, everything else we do works better.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

+Where can I get ED treatment near me in Northwest Arkansas?

At Healing Art Centers in Lowell, AR — minutes from Rogers, Bentonville and Springdale, and about 25 minutes from Fayetteville. New patients start with a consultation ($287). Call or text 479-715-3928.

+Does shockwave therapy for ED really work?

Low-intensity acoustic shockwave therapy stimulates new blood vessel formation in the penile tissue and has good evidence for mild to moderate vascular ED. It works best as part of a plan that also corrects hormones and metabolic health.

+Will TRT fix erectile dysfunction?

It helps when low testosterone is part of the picture — usually improving desire, morning erections, energy and response to other treatments. If your ED is primarily vascular, testosterone alone will not be enough.

+Is ED a warning sign for heart disease?

It can be. The arteries supplying the penis are small and show endothelial dysfunction early, often years before chest symptoms. That is why we check ApoB, blood pressure, insulin and inflammation rather than only writing a prescription.
